The Role

At Charles Taylor, we are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to join our UK Claims Management Delegated Lead team. This team provides a London-based delegated claims service, handling multiple classes of business, including standard and complex claims. Our clients rely on us to deliver high-quality claims management, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and adjust claims from first notification to settlement within pre-authorised authority limits.
  • Provide technical support for the adjusting of various COB claims.
  • Ensure each client's claim service standards are maintained or enhanced.
  • Monitor performance against contract SLAs and KPIs.
  • Deliver and present reports to clients on specific claims issues.
  • Mentor and train less experienced members of the team.
  • Post-adjustment peer review to ensure technical standards and requirements are adhered to.

Ad Hoc Duties

As a Reinsurance Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for performing other duties and tasks allocated by management, within your capabilities and the scope of your post.

Person Specification

  • Minimum 2 years London Market experience adjusting claims across Reinsurance COB.
  • Proven track record of adjusting a combination of Property, Casualty, Marine & Aviation XOL classes of business.
  • Experience in handling 'Complex Claims' in accordance with the Lloyd's CLA.
  • Strong relationships with brokers, adjusters, lawyers, and attorneys in the relevant class of business.
  • Able to work across multiple stringent client SLAs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing demands.
