About the Role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a crucial part in the development of Mpac Lambert's next-generation automation machines. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, with experience in developing automation or special-purpose machines for the global market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing CE-compliant systems in industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer goods, and clean energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality mechanical design output, ensuring a thorough understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
  • Apply innovative thinking to deliver maximum value to customers, while maintaining a commercial awareness to ensure cost-effective design solutions.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet delivery schedules, ensuring mechanical design output aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate project status to the Technical Manager, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions.
  • Contribute to the department's continuous improvement program, ensuring the business provides exceptional value to customers.
Requirements
  • Experience in software design for industrial automation.
  • Ability to work in an innovative environment, providing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong understanding of technical requirements, with the ability to interpret customer needs and present design solutions.
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to manage resources effectively and make informed decisions.
