About Our Team

Warrington Borough Council's Educational Psychology Service is a dynamic and supportive team of professionals who share a common goal of providing high-quality services to children and young people. We are a relatively small service, but one that is growing and developing in response to increasing demand.

Our Service

We offer a range of services, including preventative work with schools and the community, as well as strong links to other services such as Speech and Language, the Child Development Centre, and the Virtual School for Children in Care. Our current focus areas include Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA), ELSA training/supervision, and Restorative Practices.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking experienced or soon-to-graduate Educational Psychologists who are committed to providing high-quality services to Warrington's children and young people. We are looking for individuals who can apply psychology creatively to maximize impact and contribute to our priority areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality services to children and young people, families, schools, and services

• Apply psychology creatively to maximize impact and contribute to priority areas

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals

• Develop areas of specialist interest and expertise

Requirements

• Fully qualified and HCPC registered Educational Psychologists

• Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English

• DBS clearance required
