About the Role

VIVID Housing is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. As a key member of our customer-focused team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep and appearance of our communal outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and weeding.
  • Conduct hard area maintenance and low-level tree work, as well as soft landscaping.
  • Ensure communal areas are free from litter and debris.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards through regular inspections.
  • Assist with seasonal tasks, such as leaf removal.
  • Operate grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents.

Requirements

  • A full, clean current driving licence to operate our vans.
  • Ability to work at heights, manual handling, and lifting heavy and bulky items.
  • High degree of mobility, including walking, lifting, loading, and unloading vehicles.
