Consultant in Medical Microbiology

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Medical Microbiology to join our dynamic team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the largest and most comprehensive infection units in the country, providing clinical care to patients with infection-related problems. The appointee will be joining a team of clinicians committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with complex infection problems.
  • Provide clinical support to our microbiology laboratory.
  • Contribute to the development of the infection service and training programme for Specialist Trainees in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology.

Requirements:

  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • CCT in medical microbiology/virology or infectious diseases/medical microbiology.
  • Recognised management qualification.
  • Diploma in Hospital Infection Control (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum pro rata.
