Job Summary

As a Technical Support Specialist at ENGINEERINGUK, you will serve as a technical expert, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues to provide high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, providing consistent and high-quality technical support, implementing workarounds where appropriate.
  2. Escalate complex issues to the engineering team, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce the problem in order to facilitate timely resolution.
  3. Develop internal documentation to help the support team improve their technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Requirements
  1. Experience in technical support or software development.
  2. Exceptional problem-solving skills, able to quickly understand issues and leverage available tools to hypothesize, diagnose, and resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  2. Experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby, and/or PHP).
  3. Previous experience working in a Support Desk environment and utilizing associated Support Desk software and processes would be an advantage.
