Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team as a Technical Advisor for Infrastructure Services. In this role, you will provide specialist technical advice and support to ensure the efficient and effective running of our 24/7 key infrastructure systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Analyse and resolve complex infrastructure hardware and software problems, including server and PC hardware issues, operating system configuration, and network communication problems.
  • Perform regular examinations of server and network event logs to identify errors and unusual trends, and implement corrective measures to prevent downtime.
  • Work closely with Systems, Network, Applications, Development, and Service Desk support teams to diagnose and rectify faults, and deliver infrastructure services.
  • Maintain infrastructure services in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Secure System Policies (SSPs), and ensure all infrastructure services are installed and maintained in accordance with these policies.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant IT-related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Certification, CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator), VCP (VMWare Certified Professional). ITIL Foundation qualification accredited or working knowledge of service delivery, change control, and risk management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, with the ability to think clearly and logically.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to elicit information from users, provide telephone support, advise, and coach staff in the use of IT.
