At Parkside, we are seeking a skilled Aerospace Workshop Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our production unit, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual lathes, milling machines, and bench drills to produce components with precision.

This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based on-site in Langley, Slough. We offer a competitive salary between £29,000 - £35,000, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a benefits package.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Operate and maintain manual lathes, milling machines, and bench drills to produce components with precision.
    • Machine various materials, including metals, alloys, and plastics.
    • Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality.
    • Conduct routine maintenance of machines and promptly report any mechanical issues.
    • Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances.
    • Manage workload effectively to meet production deadlines.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address technical challenges.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in engineering manufacturing, with knowledge of measurements and threads.
  • Hands-on expertise with manual lathes, milling machines, and bench drills.
  • Proficient in using hand tools for machining tasks.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work overtime when necessary.
