Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

Milestone Infrastructure, a leading provider of infrastructure services, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Hampshire. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the provision of effective quantity surveying and commercial management support on the Hampshire Highways Service Contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage costs and values, ensuring accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to prepare clear and concise quarterly forecasts.
  • Identify and manage contract variations, ensuring timely submission and agreement of early warning notices, compensation events, and quotations.
  • Agree final accounts and maintain open communication with clients to achieve year-end targets.
  • Implement commercial processes to maximize contractual entitlement and ensure compliance with Milestone standards and procedures.
  • Manage direct reports, including annual performance reviews, and work within strict deadlines required under the contract.
  • Conduct site visits and ensure adherence to commercial activities.
Requirements:
  • Preferably a degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction subject.
  • Reasonable level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good command of oral and written English.
  • IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office, and an understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
