**Job Title:** School Facilities Manager

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join our team at a secondary school in Bury. As a caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of the school premises, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a school environment, with a solid understanding of health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, decorating, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Set up and prepare rooms for school events and activities.
  • Oversee the opening and closing of the school, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assist with the security of the premises, including monitoring alarm systems and locking/unlocking buildings.
  • Ensure that the school is fully stocked with cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Provide general support to the school as required, including moving furniture and other practical tasks.
