About the Role

This Aviation Systems Engineer position is responsible for leading the software certification efforts for certification planning and regulatory compliance oversight for assigned projects and products. The successful candidate will have direct design experience/knowledge with airborne software development and/or certification experience in a RTCA/DO-178B or C environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basis
  • Lead compliance planning and determination of means of compliance
  • Support / contribution to creation of cohesive project plans
  • Review of development artefacts, where applicable
  • Perform certification audit pre-assessments both of internal projects and external suppliers

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RTCA/DO-178C and be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously. A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered along with a range of benefits.

Please note that Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
