Job Description


The Operations productivity Data Scientist will work in a team addressing statistical, machine learning and data understanding problems. You will have exposure to large datasets, wide & mixed data, feature engineering and transformation, statistical & AI model development.


The candidate will be responsible for supporting productivity initiatives, deploying operational process changes and digital tools across GEAS sites to improve profitability, efficiency, and customer outcomes.


You will:



  1. Partner with GE DT to shape Statements of Work for Data Science opportunities and Digital Solutions
  2. Participate in Data Science Workouts and identify opportunities to use data science to create customer value
  3. Develop, verify, and validate analytics to address customer needs and opportunities
  4. Work in technical teams in development, deployment, and application of applied analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics
  5. Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods
  6. Work with data engineers on data quality assessment, data cleansing and data analytics
  7. Generate reports, annotated code, and other project artifacts to document, archive, and communicate your work and outcomes.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Demonstrated skill in serving as a change agent
  • Demonstrated skill in working in ambiguous environments
  • Advanced programming in Python
  • Proficiency in SQL
