About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant - Pool to join our team at Armley Leisure Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient lifeguard service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a safe and healthy environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer First Aid as necessary and report accidents, injuries, and incidents as per procedures.
  • Carry out general cleaning duties, as per the centre's cleaning schedules, to the agreed quality standards.
  • Supervise swimming pool activities, identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate action in line with the centre's Standard Operating Procedures and National Pool Lifeguard guidelines.
  • Maintain National Pool Lifeguard qualification by attending training sessions as per National Pool Lifeguard requirements and Leeds City Council corporate guidelines.

  • Knowledge of child protection and welfare issues.
  • Experience of working with customers.
  • Experience of lifeguarding duties/tasks.

Terms and Conditions
