Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced nurse consultant to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our haemoglobinopathies service, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice, support, and guidance to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver high-quality care to patients with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. This will involve triaging sickle cell patients presenting to our hospital, coordinating their care across various settings, and collecting and analyzing data to inform service development and improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience of clinical leadership, data collection, and analysis. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert clinical advice, support, and guidance to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
  2. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver high-quality care
  3. Triage sickle cell patients presenting to the hospital and coordinate their care
  4. Collect and analyze data to inform service development and improvement

Requirements

  • Registered nurse or midwife with the NMC
  • Relevant post-registration qualification or evidence of professional development
  • Experience of clinical leadership, data collection, and analysis

Salary and Benefits
