Antimicrobial Stewardship Specialist Pharmacist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated pharmacist to join our Antimicrobial Stewardship team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist pharmacist, you will play a key role in supporting clinicians in the safe prescribing of antimicrobials and promoting a culture of antimicrobial stewardship across the Trust.
Main Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver the Antimicrobial Stewardship agenda, supporting clinicians in the safe prescribing of antimicrobials and promoting a culture of antimicrobial stewardship.
- Develop expert knowledge in antimicrobials and infection management, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, spectrum of activity, safety profile, and monitoring requirements.
- Support the development of Trust-wide guidelines and protocols for antimicrobial use, and contribute to clinical audit and research projects.
- Deliver formal and informal training to healthcare professionals on antimicrobial prescribing, monitoring, and patient education.
