Delays in Construction Projects Specialist

A leading London-based construction consultancy is seeking a seasoned Senior Delay Consultant to join their growing team. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who have worked on traditional contractor, consultancy, or client organization projects, particularly those involving delay analysis and planning software such as Primavera, Asta Powerproject, and Microsoft Project.

About the Job

This Delay Analyst position offers the opportunity to specialize in delay analysis and pursue a long-term career in claims and disputes. As part of a dynamic team, you will work on various commissions, providing expertise on forensic investigations, program preparation, and written reports for negotiation and dispute resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct forensic investigations of project delays.
  • Prepare perspective and retrospective delay analyses for construction and engineering projects.
  • Develop programs for new projects and resequence existing ones to ensure efficient completion.
  • Compile written reports for negotiation and formal dispute resolution processes.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction project planning, with significant exposure to delay analysis.
  • Proficiency in planning software like Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract, including NEC and JCT.
  • Understanding of contract and law within the construction industry, particularly in planning and delay.
Skillset:
  • Degree-level education in a construction-related field.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary, up to GBP£100k depending on experience, plus benefits that include a GBP500-GBP1000 cash reward for successful matches.
