We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Cost Management Expert to join our team at Dalkia UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to take on a senior role, overseeing the cost and commercial aspects of various projects.

This challenging position requires a deep understanding of construction contracts, particularly NEC3/4 and JCT Contracts, as well as detailed knowledge of Measurement and Task Contractor (MTC) schedules of Rates.

As a Construction Cost Management Expert, you will be responsible for managing the cost planning process, preparing pre-tender estimates, and leading the interface with clients and other consultants. You will also compile tender packs, review tender returns, and ensure compliance with contract documentation.

In addition, you will be responsible for completing activity schedules, conducting site measurements, checking pre-measures and final accounts, and letting subcontract package works. Your expertise in negotiation will enable you to secure best value from suppliers and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will have at least five years of construction experience, with a strong background in quantity surveying and cost management. You will be numerate, possess excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and JDE, and demonstrate sound commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

A key aspect of this role is your ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks, and communicating progress effectively. You will also be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with project teams and colleagues to maximize the success of project delivery.
