Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Complex Care Mental Health Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Ward Manager in providing high-quality nursing care and treatment to patients in conjunction with other professionals.
- Work with individuals to help them acquire or regain the skills and confidence required for them to live in the community.
- Collaborate with family, carers, community teams, GP's, and other professionals involved in the person's care.
- Evaluate care leading to improvement in quality standards and service improvement.
- Must be a registered mental health nurse.
- Must have professional UK registration (NMC).
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of highly developed specialist knowledge and experience.
- Experience of teaching and assessing in clinical practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of an organisation.
- Evidence of skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and influencing.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for self, colleagues, and service users.
- Experience of working within the care sector or demonstrate transferable experience.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge in clinical assessment, treatment, and care for people's mental health.
- Demonstrable knowledge of legislation relevant to the area of practice.
- Evidence of recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio.
