About the Role

A Mechanical Supervisor is sought to join the Engineering & Manufacturing team in Rugby, providing leadership and overseeing the operational aspects of the department.

Description:

  • Lead and manage the engineering team in Rugby.
  • Oversee operational aspects of the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the engineering team.
  • Oversee department operations.
  • Implement health and safety protocols.
  • Develop maintenance plans.
  • Control maintenance expenses.
  • Support the team with technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent or National Certificate (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial / manufacturing operations and procedures.
  • 2 years' experience Mechanical Coordinator/Maintenance Team Leader or Deputy/Graduate Engineer in a cement plant would be beneficial

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in mechanical engineering.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field.
