Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Parkside, a detached bungalow with four residents. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to live fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage and facilitate social interactions, hobbies, and interests to promote a sense of community and belonging.
  • Assist with medication management, moving and positioning, and other care-related tasks as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to our organization's values and policies.
Requirements
  • Patience, empathy, and compassion when interacting with residents and their families.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and honesty in all aspects of your work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, respecting individual differences and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early, late, and sleep shifts, to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in care and support.
