About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Windsor Food Machinery in Kent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining various types of meat and food processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service food processing machinery at customer sites, including on-site visits and occasional overnight stays.
  • Carry out refurbishments on second-hand machinery and equipment at our premises in Hamstreet, Kent.
  • Work under the guidance of our Workshop Engineering Manager and collaborate with a team of four other engineers.
  • Hours of work: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour's unpaid lunch break and paid overtime for hours outside of this schedule.
Requirements
  • Qualified electrical and mechanical engineer with extensive experience in an engineering capacity.
  • Industrial time-served apprenticeship and many years of post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.
  • Background in repairing machinery and previous experience working with FMCG or food processing machinery are beneficial.
Benefits
  • Overnight stay allowance of £100 per night, plus hotel accommodation and subsistence allowance.
  • Two bonuses per year, pro rata, on commencement date vs our financial year of April-March.
