Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, developing and checking technical outputs, and supporting the program to deliver on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Principal Engineer in maintaining engineering standards and scoping engineering deliverables.
  • Apply engineering processes and quality assurance procedures within allocated programs.
  • Instill a delivery ethos with the program project engineering team.
  • Support the resolution of electrical issues and communicate with the Principal Engineer daily.
  • Prepare for program/project design reviews and identify program assumptions, risks, and issues.
  • Promote continuous professional development opportunities and maintain own currency.
  • Maintain accurate configuration management of all design documentation.
  • Identify intellectual property and safeguard company assets.
  • Operate within security and confidentiality requirements.
  • Develop and mentor individuals for progression.
  • Assist bid managers with engineering input to bid responses.
Requirements
  • Formal qualification in engineering; electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or equivalent.
  • Experience in the marine industry and relevant design code knowledge.
  • Knowledge of procurement and design processes.
  • Assisting with the development of engineering design processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering design software.
  • Current driving license.
  • Ability to work outside normal shift patterns.
  • Training in MEWP, working at height, and confined space.
