About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Audiologist/Hearing Therapist to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for adults and children, including complex cases, and develop effective rehabilitation strategies.
  2. Provide a range of clinical audiology services, including hearing aid repairs, ear mould modification, and real ear measurement tests, with a high level of independence and accountability.
  3. Collaborate with other professionals and teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of audiological services, including research and audit, to maintain high-quality care and stay up-to-date with best practices.
  5. Supervise and train junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to data protection and confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc in Audiology or equivalent, with RCCP registration or working towards it.
  • Previous experience in clinical audiology, preferably in a similar setting, with a strong understanding of adult and pediatric audiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Able to exercise initiative, plan, and prioritize tasks, with a focus on maintaining high-quality patient care and service delivery.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet the demands of a busy clinical environment.
  • Good basic keyboard skills and ability to input clinical data accurately and efficiently.
