About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Science Project Lead to join our team at the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will be responsible for leading projects from inception to delivery, working closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovative data science solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from idea inception to scoping, data discovery, and delivery
  • Develop and implement data science solutions to support business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights
  • Design and manage user research to develop scalable and maintainable data science solutions
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading data science projects and teams
  • Strong technical skills in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
