Job Title: Bank SEN Adult Support Worker

Join our team at The Aurora Group as a Bank SEN Adult Support Worker and make a real difference in the lives of our young adults with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to work as a Bank SEN Adult Support Worker at our Orchard Manor site in Meldreth, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border. As a Bank Support Worker, you will work with our young adults who have varying degrees of special educational needs and disabilities, promoting their confidence and independence and supporting them to lead a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care and ensuring care during the night.
  • Ensure that medical needs are met at all times
  • Assist with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and develop
  • Ensure that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
What We Offer

As a Bank SEN Adult Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team whose common goal is to empower and support wherever is required. You will have a chance to work with a range of incredible facilities, including music and art rooms, rebound therapy, hydrotherapy, and sensory rooms. Our bank staff are able to choose what shift they want to take on, giving them a great deal of flexibility when deciding to work days over nights, or weekdays over weekends.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a team player with excellent communication skills and a willingness to lend a hand wherever required. Experience isn't essential, but you will need to be driven and compassionate, with a desire to empower and transform lives.
