We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiologist to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality imaging service with a specialization in Interventional Radiology.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the highest clinical standards in patient management within the hospital, particularly focusing on delivering a high-quality imaging service with a specialization in Interventional Radiology.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Imaging Department to manage all patient referrals to the Trust, contributing to the general radiology workload, including a 1 in 12 on-call rota.
- Provide support to radiographers and sonographers, alongside actively engaging in the teaching and training of specialist registrars, junior medical staff, nursing staff, and medical students.
- Participate in departmental and Trust-wide Clinical Governance and audit activities, as well as commit to continuous professional development (CPD).

Requirements- Full GMC Registration and licensed to practice.
- Subspecialty training in Interventional Radiology.
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview) or CESR (must be on Specialist Register at time of applying).
- Fellowship in Interventional Radiology from accredited centre.
- Research Experience.
- MD, PhD or other higher degree.
- EBIR.
- Ability to communicate effectively and co-operate well with all staff and patients.
- Flexible attitude, team player with good time management.
- Leadership skills.
