Interventional Radiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiologist to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have expertise in all aspects of Interventional Radiology, with a focus on delivering high-quality imaging services and supporting the vascular and non-vascular interventional work at Bedford Hospital.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe role involves ensuring the highest clinical standards in patient management, collaborating closely with colleagues in the Imaging Department to manage patient referrals, and contributing to the general radiology workload. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing support to radiographers and sonographers, actively engaging in the teaching and training of specialist registrars, junior medical staff, nursing staff, and medical students.

Requirements- Full GMC Registration and licensed to practice
- Subspecialty training in Interventional Radiology
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview) or CESR (must be on Specialist Register at time of applying)
- Fellowship in Interventional Radiology from accredited centre
- Research Experience
- MD, PhD or other higher degree
- EBIR
- Ability to communicate effectively and co-operate well with all staff and patients
- Flexible attitude, team player with good time management
- Leadership skills
