About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate the nursing team's workload, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure their needs are met.
Requirements
  • NMC Registration.
  • Degree or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years ED experience.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring and developing staff.
  • Post-Reg Leadership qualification desirable.
