About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Band 6 Charge Nurse/Sister to join our team on Ward 6 at Queens Hospital Burton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading by example, and supporting the Senior Sister in the management of the ward.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate patient care to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Provide nursing guidance and support to colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Coordinate patient care, taking charge and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement clinical audits to drive improvement projects and enhance patient care.
  • Manage rosters, sickness, and performance, ensuring the smooth operation of the ward.
  • Be a vital point of contact for patients and relatives, providing exceptional care and support.
