Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Performance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Performance Manager to join our team at EDF. This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity to serve as the primary liaison between the Sizewell C Client and the Civils Works Alliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all Environmental & Sustainability Commitments and Requirements specified by the Sizewell C Client are incorporated into the Alliance Arrangements and Design arrangements to manage the Environment & Sustainability Performance of the Alliance.
  • Collaborate with various key stakeholders to ensure all environment and sustainability commitments from the SZC Client are smoothly integrated into the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and the SZC Design Supply Chain.
  • Offer advice and guidance to the CWP, CWA, and SZC Design Supply Chain on environmental and sustainability obligations, while leveraging support from the broader SZC Client organisation as needed.
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of construction-related environmental permits, consents, and licenses within the CWP.
  • Support the design, procurement, and delivery processes as needed to ensure environmental, decommissioning, and sustainability requirements are well considered.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in an environmental, science, engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience of operating within an environmental management system (EMS) conforming to recognised standards (BS EN ISO14001:2004).
  • Strong Problem Solving and Organisational Skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to see projects through from start to finish.
