Environmental Sustainability Performance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Performance Manager to join our team at EDF. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the Sizewell C Client and the Civils Works Alliance, ensuring that all environmental and sustainability commitments are smoothly integrated into the Civil Works Alliance and the Sizewell C Design Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of environmental and sustainability standards.
  • Offer advice and guidance on environmental and sustainability obligations, leveraging support from the broader Sizewell C Client organisation as needed.
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of construction-related environmental permits, consents, and licenses within the Civils Works Programme.
  • Support the design, procurement, and delivery processes to ensure environmental, decommissioning, and sustainability requirements are well considered.
  • Provide leadership in environment and sustainability to both the Client Organisation and the Civils Works Alliance, coordinating technical advice and strategies to ensure compliance with the work being carried out.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in an environmental, science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience of operating within an environmental management system (EMS) conforming to recognised standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to see projects through from start to finish.
