Babcock International Group is committed to creating a safe and secure world, and we're seeking a skilled Leading Technician (TMEC) to join our team at RAF Shawbury.

The Role

As a Leading Technician (TMEC), you'll have a unique opportunity to support military training across RAF Shawbury and its parented responsibilities, while working within the Testing and Measuring Equipment Centre.

  • Test tools/equipment parameters and complete relevant paperwork to ensure equipment can be sent to third parties for use.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and clients to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
  • Be trained on military software to effectively complete day-to-day tasks.
  • Influence and deliver better outcomes in line with business requirements.

This role is full time and is based on site at RAF Shawbury, working a 9-day fortnight (72hrs over 9 days, week 1= 32hrs, week 2= 40hrs), with flexibility of your chosen day off on week 1.

Essential Experience

We're looking for individuals with:

  • Electrical or Mechanical Technician background, with calibration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence people from all backgrounds and at all levels.
  • Computer literacy.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
