Overview

HSDC is seeking a highly skilled Employment Development Liaison Specialist to join its outstanding rated Adult Provision team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills. As an integral part of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing employer relationships within the local area to grow the delivery of employer responsive adult training courses.

About the Role

The post holder will be responsible for conducting research with employers from various sectors to identify skills gaps and determine how HSDC can utilise ESFA adult skills funds to address these gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Develop and deliver an exceptional employer, DWP and other referral agency account management service in partnership with HSDC Adult provision.
  • External Activities: Lead on external activities for growth in new employer recruitment to ensure the College meets all its Adult Skills Fund allocation.
  • Employer Engagement: Be the single point of contact with designated employers to actively create adult learning opportunities to meet college's Adult Skills Fund strategic aims.
  • Sales and Business Development: Complete appropriate sales activities to develop new employer opportunities, including telesales campaigns, face-to-face meetings and social media.
  • Networking and Events: Represent the college at a range of internal and external networking events to promote the college as a provider of choice.
  • Event Planning: Plan and organise employer-focused events such as breakfast briefings and other networking events to broaden employer engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Qualified at Level 2 for English and Maths.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Good knowledge of the complex FE/training environment, as well as future developments and priorities. Proven experience of development of work-based learning activities within the FE sector.
  • Business Development: Proven experience of successful performance against sales and business development targets in a business-to-business environment, including a clear understanding of the solution sales process.
  • Funding and Financial Management: Good overall understanding of ESFA Adult Skills funding methodology, and basic understanding of commercial income, expenditure and contribution models.
  • Financial Targets: Strong ability to meet financial targets.
