About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join Alder King as a Surveyor and Valuer in our Taunton office. As a Commercial Property Agent, you will be responsible for undertaking general agency disposal work, including letting or selling commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will undertake viewings of properties and sites in accordance with company protocols and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Prepare marketing reports, marketing particulars, and progress reports for existing and new instructions.
  • Enter marketing information onto the Contour system accurately and ensure it is included on the Alder King website and other websites/portals.
  • Provide clients with regular updates through verbal and written communication and handle all forms of enquiry from applicants, updating the Contour/file accordingly.
  • Negotiate with interested parties, providing appropriate updates, and prepare Heads of Agreement for any deals.
  • Monitor the progress of transactions when they are in solicitors' hands and provide any support required to ensure a smooth and timely transaction.
  • Assist the Partner in preparation of consultancy work/reports.
Our Requirements
  • A RICS qualification or similar (not essential).
  • Fluency with all Microsoft packages and relevant IT packages.
  • A highly motivated commercial approach, working collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong research, analytical skills, and reporting skills.
  • Resilience to work under pressure; excellent prioritisation, time management, negotiation, and organisation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent/good communication and interpersonal skills, delivering information clearly and succinctly.
  • Be proactive and receptive to change, hold a positive 'can-do' attitude, and uphold the highest level of professionalism at all times.
  • A clean driving licence.
