About the Role

Solent NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Officer to join our Special Care and Paediatric Service in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

As a Dental Officer, you will work with adults and children with physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, medical, social impairment or disability, providing specialist care and treatment in clinic locations, hospitals, and domiciliary settings.

Our team is dedicated to improving access to early intervention and treatment, reducing health inequalities, and promoting prevention of oral diseases across the Special Care and Paediatric Dentistry care pathway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive care and dental treatment to children and adults with additional needs
  • Work in partnership with the wider health and social care system to improve access to early intervention and treatment
  • Reduce health inequalities and promote prevention of oral diseases
