About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated dentist to join our dynamic Special Care Dental Service at Solent NHS Trust. As a Senior Dental Officer, you will play a key role in delivering routine and urgent dental care to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake thorough examination of patients and provide a Dental Care Assessment.
  • Plan and manage complex patient care, including emergency treatment and dental screening services.
  • Identify and manage medical emergencies, and lead the dental team in first-line management.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
About the Team

You will be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team, including Specialists in Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and GA/Sedation. Our team is committed to providing high-quality care to patients with complex needs.

Requirements
  • Current full Registration as Dental Surgeon with General Dental Council.
  • Foundation (Vocational) Training / equivalence and current Performers List number.
  • Experience of organising, managing, and running clinics and support staff.
  • Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development and currency within GDC requirements.
