">Service Transformation ExpertTameside Council's Adult Social Care Mental Health Team is undergoing a significant transformation to improve mental health services within our community. As a Service Transformation Expert, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of mental health services and developing a specialist team that supports adults with mental disorders and young people transitioning to adulthood.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transforming Services: Collaborate with the Team Manager to shape a specialist care model for adults with mental illness, promoting person-centred, legally compliant practices and continuous learning culture.
- Leading Change: Assist the Team Manager in recruiting key positions and building a team capable of handling complex cases, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a high-performing service.
- Effective Team Leadership: Contribute to the leadership of the team, ensuring clarity of direction, maintaining a culture of change, and promoting a performance-driven, team-based environment that motivates and empowers staff.
- Collaboration and Communication: Develop a robust communication and engagement plan, building strong working relationships with service users, carers, and health colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
We are looking for an exceptional professional with a strong background in Adult Social Care, direct experience working with adults with mental illness, and an understanding of transitions. You will have:
- A Level 6 social work degree or equivalent qualification
- A strong background in Adult Social Care, with direct experience working with adults with mental illness and an understanding of transitions
- Experience in care management environments, ideally with a focus on mental health
- Proven leadership experience, particularly in managing service change and redesign
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
