About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Housing Operations Manager to join our team in Exmouth, Devon. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of quality housing and support services within our organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing, evaluating, and contributing towards the development of local / service-specific procedures and good practice in all areas of service management.
  • Undertaking regular audits of various aspects of the service, including client files, medication paperwork, and Health & Safety records, and taking necessary action and reporting any issues or concerns to the Service Manager.
  • Planning, coordinating, and leading on the induction of all line-managed staff and ensuring that ongoing training needs are identified, reviewed, and implemented.
  • Allocating client caseloads to Mental Health Support Workers fairly and consistently, and in the absence of a Mental Health Support Worker, ensuring client caseloads are appropriately reallocated and covered.
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the services while ensuring effective administration and communication systems are maintained and adhered to.

About You

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or similar qualification, or a willingness to work towards it.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, encourage, and empower others.
  • Proven experience of managing a team of people, including recruitment, induction, probationary reviews, supervision, and appraisals.
  • Ability to build trusting, professional relationships and demonstrate a high level of resilience.
  • Able to take an asset-based approach to empowering individuals to develop their skills, strengths, and talents.
  • Good knowledge and working experience of supporting adults at risk, including those with complex mental health needs.
  • Understanding of community resources and organisations that can help our clients.
