Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Uniphar Medtech. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers in the medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair of medical devices, including patient physiological monitors, defibrillators, and ECG recorders.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers through installation, commissioning, and repair of medical devices.
  • Configuration and Interconnection: Configure and interconnect medical devices across wired and wireless networks.
  • Customer Relations: Proactively manage customer relations, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellent communication skills.
  • Travel: Travel countrywide to provide technical support to customers.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: RQF(NQF) level 5-6 (HND-Ordinary Bachelor Degree) in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
  • IT Skills: Comfortable working with IT systems and networks, with an IT related qualification an advantage.
  • Driver's License: Full driver's license required.
  • Field Experience: Field-based experience in medical device or other electronic equipment servicing an advantage.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Self-motivated with good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
