Stark Building Materials UK is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Layout Specialist to join its Property department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and effective retail space designs for new and refurbished branches across the company's portfolio of approximately 600 locations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail operations and be able to work closely with internal departments, external consultants, and suppliers to create tailored space plans that meet the needs of each unique site and situation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to gather data and inform space planning decisions.
  • Develop and implement floor plans for new branches, retrofits, and format updates.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.
  • Build strong relationships with branch operations teams to achieve timely and cost-effective project targets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify design development opportunities and contribute to the design process.
  • Act in accordance with Stark Group company values.
  • Verify that external construction design details align with the space plan and liaise with external design consultants as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 3D software.
  • Experience working with space planning software.
  • Background in retail or merchant environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
