About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Teacher to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for managing classrooms, planning and delivering lessons that cater to students' individual needs, and leading 1:1 and small group interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students, incorporating strategies to promote inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Interventions: Lead 1:1 and small group interventions to support students with SEN, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Reporting and Liaison: Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to inform teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a recognized teaching qualification and be registered with the relevant teaching authority.
  • Experience with SEN: Possess experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, with a strong understanding of their requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of Special Education Practices: Familiarity with special education practices, strategies, and resources to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, Empathy, and Understanding: Possess patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, classroom management, and reporting requirements.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of safeguarding guidelines and protocols to ensure student safety and well-being.
