The role is structured around the Post 16 Study Programme model, which includes a learning program, work experience, Maths and English, and other non-qualification activities to enrich our learners' experience and prepare them for adulthood.
As a SEND Teacher - English Specialist, you will take a leading role in our English curriculum, designing and delivering classes for learners working at pre-entry and level 2. You will work closely with the wider teaching team to embed functional English skills into every learner's bespoke curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning
- Focusing on functional English skills and monitoring progress
- Providing inspirational learning opportunities to learners, whether in the classroom or out in the community
- Working closely with Learning Support Assistants to direct them to effectively support the learners
