About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled community development specialist to join our team in Powys. As a key member of our community-focused approach, you will be responsible for developing and delivering projects that address the needs of children, young people, and families in your area, including those supported by our Flying Start programme.
- A strong child-centred focus with a commitment to quality services.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm, with excellent verbal communication skills to build relationships and partnerships internally and externally.
- The ability to prioritise and manage a complex workload effectively, remaining well-organised under pressure.
- Experience of project management, including developing and implementing initiatives that drive transformational and sustainable cultural change in communities.
- The capacity to work collaboratively with stakeholders, local services, schools, and organisations to facilitate community-focused projects and events that meet the needs of children, young people, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Powys Community Transformation Specialist, your duties will include:
- Providing project management for the development and delivery of the Children First model and the Flying Start programme in Welshpool.
- Overseeing the management of a family centre in Welshpool, ensuring the provision of high-quality services and support for families.
- Developing and implementing projects, activities, and events that drive cultural change in the community, working closely with children, young people, and families to ensure their needs are met.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to facilitate community-focused projects and events that increase opportunities and meet the needs of children, young people, and families in the locality.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
