Manufacturing Operations Director

E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead a small multi-functional production team at one of our client's micro manufacturing plants in the Stowmarket area.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective communication plans to achieve defined objectives.
- Lead and motivate the team through performance reviews to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Apply technical expertise to facilitate the rigorous application of manufacturing techniques to generate Continuous Improvement.
- Implement and adhere to all Company and Factory control procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Develop systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping using the 5S principles.
- Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes with a focus on CI and/or lean manufacturing techniques.
- Strong self-motivation and desire to progress within an organisation.
- Organisational skills including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
- Leadership and management skills to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
- A strong appreciation of safe working practices and health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
- A recognised qualification is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of effectively managing health and safety.
- Experience of setting and maintaining budgets.
- ILM Programme (Management and Leadership) through to level 7 - post grad.
- Health & Safety Management Training - NEBOSH.
- IEMA - Environmental Management.
- NVQ in Business Improvement.
