Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our client's team in the Stowmarket area. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for leading a small multi-functional production team to achieve key targets within the factory environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, with a focus on Continuous Improvement and lean manufacturing techniques. You will be required to demonstrate leadership and management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and promote company, factory, and team plans, and implement them to achieve defined objectives.
  • People management, motivation, and development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives.
  • Technical expertise to facilitate the rigorous application of manufacturing techniques to generate Continuous Improvement across all areas of Manufacturing Capability.
  • Implementation of and adherence to all company and factory control procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements in Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes with a strong focus towards CI and/or lean manufacturing techniques.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and a desire to progress within an organisation.
  • Demonstrable organisational skills, including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop the team.
Training and Development:

The successful candidate will be required to commit to a focused programme of training and development, which will include:

  • ILM Programme (Management and Leadership) through to level 7 - post graduate.
  • Health & Safety Management Training - NEBOSH.
  • IEMA - Environmental Management.
  • NVQ in Business Improvement.
