Actuarial Analyst Role

The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to support the delivery of core oversight tasks of the Actuarial Function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • PIM First Line Governance, Oversight and Reporting - Collaborate with the AFO team to ensure effective PIM governance.
  • Actuarial Control Frameworks - Support the AFO team in delivering, overseeing, and implementing actuarial control frameworks, including regular review and analysis.
  • Oversight (non-PIM) - Deliver core oversight tasks of the Actuarial Function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting - Assist the Head of Actuarial Function Oversight and Partial Internal Model in providing timely and accurate reports.
  • Risk Management System Implementation - Support the effective implementation of the CL risk management system, working closely with the Head of AFS & PIM and AFH.

Requirements:

  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial models and controls, with commercial application and implication
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, with efficient use of spreadsheets and basic data manipulation
  • Developing expertise in 1 or more areas within the function, with sound understanding of complex statistical methods and models
  • Validating the work of non-qualified and other recently qualified actuaries
