Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMB) is seeking an experienced Company Secretarial Support Manager to join its Corporate Governance Group in London. The successful candidate will provide support to the EMEA Group Company Secretary, Deputy Company Secretaries, and wider team in all aspects of their roles in providing company secretarial services to the Boards, Board Committees, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the Directors' Report and Strategic Review for inclusion in the annual report and accounts of relevant companies.
  • Participate in project activity as needed, including liaison with Executive Directors and Non-Executive Directors.
  • Submit applications on the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Database and related databases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in company secretarial services, preferably in the financial services sector. A company secretarial certificate or similar qualification is desirable, but not essential.

As a Company Secretarial Support Manager, you will work closely with the Corporate Governance Group to ensure the smooth operation of the department. You will be expected to demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage your workload effectively.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated at £50,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, life insurance, and private medical insurance.
