About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Research and Innovation to lead our research and innovation activities across the Northampton General Hospital group. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic research and innovation agenda that aligns with our organisational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a research and innovation strategy that aligns with our organisational goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of research and innovation professionals to deliver high-quality research and innovation projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including academics, industry partners, and other healthcare organisations
  • Secure funding and resources to support research and innovation activities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leadership and management in research and innovation
  • Strong understanding of the NHS research landscape and national research strategies
  • Experience of managing research portfolios and securing funding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
