Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Manager to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader who can drive initiatives and deliver results. The successful candidate will work closely with our Wider Leadership Team to develop and implement programs that improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the initiation and delivery of programs to meet strategic objectives, including commissioning community and accommodation-based support services.
  • Take the strategic lead on commissioning activity, enabling and influencing across the system to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Develop and manage complex, fast-paced workloads, building effective relationships with system partners and communities.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have senior management or leadership experience in a commissioning environment, with a proven track record of delivering results and leading teams. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to represent the team within the Council and with external stakeholders.
