About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountancy and Payroll Clerk to join our team at Instajobs Limited. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for providing an effective and accurate payroll service to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll records and controls for multiple organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
- Administer statutory and occupational schemes of leave, including sickness, accidents, maternity, and paternity, in accordance with company policies and HMRC requirements.
- Respond to external and internal enquiries related to the payroll service, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
- Ensure deductions from salaries are made in accordance with employee instructions and comply with financial regulations and HMRC requirements.
- Provide resilience and cover for the payroll team as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Recognized payroll qualification and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Understanding of gross to net calculations and HMRC requirements for taxation and NI.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, including employees, managers, and councillors.
- Flexible approach to duties and hours, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
