Job Title: Accountancy and Payroll Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountancy and Payroll Clerk to join our team at Instajobs Limited. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for providing an effective and accurate payroll service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process and manage payroll records and controls for multiple organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
  2. Administer statutory and occupational schemes of leave, including sickness, accidents, maternity, and paternity, in accordance with company policies and HMRC requirements.
  3. Respond to external and internal enquiries related to the payroll service, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  4. Ensure deductions from salaries are made in accordance with employee instructions and comply with financial regulations and HMRC requirements.
  5. Provide resilience and cover for the payroll team as needed.

Requirements

  1. Experience in payroll processing and administration.
  2. Recognized payroll qualification and evidence of continuing professional development.
  3. Understanding of gross to net calculations and HMRC requirements for taxation and NI.
  4. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, including employees, managers, and councillors.
  6. Flexible approach to duties and hours, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
